In light of the brief abstract I got, “Ghost Team” seemed like a repulsiveness drama around a bundle of ghost-pursuing oddballs played by well known names as dynamite “Napolean’s” Jon Heder. Best case scenario, I thought it would be a New World Pictures-style knock-off of “Ghostbusters”; best case scenario, I thought it would be an Empire Pictures-style knock-off of “Ghostbusters.” I approved of either result, since you know I cherish garbage.
In any case, “Ghost Team” is neither startling nor clever. The nearest it goes to a honest to goodness panic is a chime in set to Gary Wright’s “Fantasy Weaver,” and the main healthy giggle is civility of Amy Sedaris’ Miss Cleo-roused phone psychic. You need to sit tight 78 minutes for it, however it’s there.
